رحلةُ ولاية مسقط لتصبح مدينةً تتعلّم مدى الحياة، ضمن شبكة اليونسكو العالمية لمدن التعلّم.The journey of the Wilayat of Muscat to become a lifelong learning city within the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities.
لماذا مدينة تعلّم؟Why a learning city?
تتميّز ولاية مسقط بموقعها على بحر عُمان، فكانت ملتقىً لأنشطةٍ اجتماعيةٍ واقتصاديةٍ وثقافيةٍ استثنائية، ومزيجاً من المجتمعات والأديان والجنسيات التي تتعايش بسلام.The Wilayat of Muscat sits on the Sea of Oman, a hub of exceptional social, economic and cultural activity — a blend of societies, religions and nationalities living in peace.
من هذا التنوّع وُلدت فكرة «مدينة التعلّم»: أن تصبح المدينةُ كلّها بيئةً للتعلّم، توازن بين التراث والانفتاح، وتضع التعلّم مدى الحياة في قلب التنمية.From this diversity came the learning-city idea: that the whole city becomes an environment for learning, balancing heritage with openness.

اجتماعٌ برئاسة محافظ مسقط لبحث الانضمام لشبكة مدن التعلّم.A meeting chaired by the Governor of Muscat to explore joining the network.
تشكيل فريق العملThe work team forms
قرارٌ بتشكيل فريقٍ برئاسة والي مسقط بممثّلين من التعليم والصحة والتنمية الاجتماعية وجمعية المرأة والفرق التطوّعية والأندية والقطاع الخاص.A team chaired by the Wali of Muscat, with members from education, health, social development, the Women's Association, volunteer teams, clubs and the private sector.
اعتماد الطلبApplication approved
بعد سلسلة اجتماعاتٍ وتحليلٍ للبيانات، اعتُمد طلبُ عضوية مسقط.After meetings and data analysis, Muscat's application was approved.
عضوٌ في شبكة اليونسكوA UNESCO member
قبول مسقط رسمياً في شبكة اليونسكو العالمية لمدن التعلّم — مع نزوى وصور.Muscat officially accepted into the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities — with Nizwa and Sur.

- برامجُ مجتمعيةٌ تُكسب المعرفة والقيم والمهارات وتصون العادات.Community programs that build knowledge, values and skills.
- بيئةٌ صحّيةٌ مستدامةٌ للجميع، ومرافقُ خدميةٌ أكثر كفاءة.A sustainable, healthy environment for all, with efficient services.
- مناطقُ للرياضة الفردية والجماعية، وفضاءاتٌ عامةٌ صديقةٌ للبيئة.Areas for individual and group sport, and eco-friendly public spaces.
- مكافحةُ تغيّر المناخ بالتشجير وتحسين جودة الهواء.Fighting climate change through afforestation and better air quality.

- مدينةٌ ذكيةٌ مستدامةٌ نابضةٌ بالحياة (مثل مدينة يتي).A smart, sustainable city full of life (such as Yiti).
- برامجُ محو أميةٍ وتعليمٍ خاصٍّ وتعلّمٍ مدى الحياة للفئات المستحقّة.Literacy, special education and lifelong learning for those who need it.
شراكةٌ من كلّ القطاعاتA partnership across every sector
يقود المبادرةَ فريقٌ برئاسة والي مسقط يجمع الجهات الحكومية والأهلية والخاصة معاً.The initiative is led by a team chaired by the Wali of Muscat, bringing government, civil and private bodies together.
